How to Register

Browse through the listing of course offerings available.

Click the "Add to Cart" button to the right of the course description. To add additional courses, select a category from the top menu.

Students with an existing account must log in using their unique Gnomon Student Web Portal login credentials. If you do not remember your password, please visit "Forgotten Password" in order to gain access to your account.

New students must create an account by entering in their information to create a user ID and password. An email will be sent confirming your user ID and password once a student ID is assigned.

Please note that new students will be able to create student accounts when registration is open.

When finished selecting courses and creating a Student Web Portal account, click the "View Cart" link in the top right of the page, then click the "Checkout" button.

You may make a payment using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or PayPal accounts. Your credit card will be processed immediately and a receipt will be automatically emailed to the email address provided. For questions regarding payment, please contact the Student Accounts office.

You will receive a confirmation email from Gnomon’s Registrar's office within 24 – 48 hours after payment is completed. Please log into the Gnomon Student Web Portal to view your course schedule and ensure all information is accurate.

You will be contacted in the event of a course cancellation, or if you have not met the necessary prerequisites. For problems registering, or if you realize that an error in your registration has been made after submission, please contact the Registrar's Office ASAP.

Students may withdraw from registered courses at any time and receive a pro-rata refund if they have completed 60% or less of the scheduled days in the current payment period through the last day of attendance.

Please email your drop/refund requests to registrar@gnomon.edu. Tuition refunds are based on the date the written drop request is received.

Refunds will be made within 45 days of the date of cancellation. Requests will be processed during regular business hours: Monday thru Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Gnomon’s Individual Courses are for adult learners only. You must be 18 or older to attend.

Visitors are welcome at Gnomon. However, if visitors plan to stay for an extended period of time, permission must be granted by the administration. All employees of Gnomon have the authority to ask anyone who is being disruptive or disrespectful to leave the premises. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Gnomon reserves the right to change tuition fees, scheduled dates of courses, course offerings, instructors, policies, and procedures pursuant to California Code of Regulations (CCR) and California Education Code (CEC). Gnomon also reserves the right to deny enrollment in courses to any student and the right to withdraw any student whose conduct fails to comply with the policies, rules, and standards of Gnomon.

Gnomon is not able to issue I-20's for students enrolled in individual courses. International students interested in taking on-campus courses should check with their embassy or consulate to inquire about the length of a visitor's visa. A visitor's visa may allow enough time to complete a term or two at Gnomon.

All students enrolled in an online course are required to have a working webcam for each class session. Instructors will validate attendance at the beginning of each class using your webcam presence. Failure to have a working webcam will result in the instructor marking the student absent for that class session.

Webcams allow students to communicate directly with the instructor of the class without the distractions of using the chat module in the application. This helps to facilitate a more interactive experience for both the student and instructor.

Due to regulations set forth by state regulatory bodies, Gnomon is only authorized to offer distance education (online courses) to students located in the state of California or outside of the United States. To verify your physical location or for questions, please contact our Registrar’s Office.
