This live stream event will highlight the story genesis, production design, and the artistic and technological innovations developed to bring this epic ocean adventure to life.
From Academy Award-winning filmmaker Chris Williams (Moana, Big Hero Six), The Sea Beast takes audiences to where the map ends and the true adventure begins. The animated feature film was released in July and tells the story of a young girl who stows away on the ship of a legendary sea monster hunter.
We’re thrilled to talk with Writer/Director Chris Williams, Production Designer Matthias Lechner, Animation Director Zach Parrish, and Head of Character Animation Joshua Beveridge. The panel will discuss pipeline enhancements, the development of new tools, nuanced animation performances, and FX processes, as well as answer viewer questions!
