Gnomon is named the School of the Year for VFX by The Rookies for the third year in a row.

Earlier this week, The Rookies released their 2019 World School Rankings, naming Gnomon the School of the Year for Visual Effects for the third year running.

Founded in 2009 as the CG Student Art Awards, The Rookies is now one of the largest and most prestigious contests for digital art students across the globe. With more than 3,400 students entering from over 500 schools and training facilities this year, it’s a tremendous honor for Gnomon to be ranked number one worldwide in Visual Effects, and it’s all thanks to our students, whose performance and quality of work are truly world-renown.

Speaking of students, we’d love to congratulate Gnomon alumna Angela Rico, who was a finalist and runner-up for Rookie of the Year in the Visual Effects category! You can find Angela’s submission here.

In addition to being the #1 school for Visual Effects, Gnomon also had the honor of ranking in the Top 5 schools worldwide for Animation, and Top 10 for Game Design and Concept Art & Illustration. We couldn't have done it without the help of our outstanding students and alumni who entered this year's Rookies; congratulations and thank you for all of your hard work!
