Gnomon is Moving! New Campus Opening in 2024
We are thrilled to announce that Gnomon is moving to a brand-new, state-of-the-art campus in North Hollywood! Opening Summer of 2024, our new home boasts a wide range of upgraded amenities tailored to enhance the experience for our students, staff, and faculty while preserving the essence of what makes Gnomon truly unique. Gnomon will still be Gnomon, but now with multiple improvements that our entire community will enjoy.
The new campus is located within NoHo West, a 25-acre retail and entertainment complex, conveniently situated North of the junction of the 101 freeway and 170, within 8 miles of our current campus.
Our new home will provide benefits currently unavailable at Gnomon’s original location including more than 15 dining and drink options, a Trader Joe's, a Regal multi-plex cinema, an urgent care clinic, LA Fitness, an outdoor park, and multiple shopping outlets, all conveniently located on-site. The new campus offers an impressive indoor space that is 10,000 sq. feet larger than our current campus, expansive outdoor areas, ample parking, and much more.
Our cutting-edge classrooms will continue to foster creativity and learning by reflecting real production studio environments. The entire new campus layout and floorplan have been designed by Gnomon Founder Alex Alvarez, who is now collaborating with Advisory Board member Jonathan Berube on interior design and architectural visualization.
While plans have been in the works for a while, we were excited to finally share this news with our students last week during a student assembly. Gnomon Founder and President Alex Alvarez shared details about our future campus and its many new amenities, along with a few renders of the new space.
"Since 1997, our unique campus in Hollywood has been an amazing home to our community, full of character and history. But it is time for a change, and I couldn't be more excited for what is to come at Noho West," Alvarez said. "In 2024, students will enter a brand-new state-of-the-art campus, surrounded by the amenities which will make student life far better. But rest assured that everything that makes our campus special will remain, be it the custom steel furniture, the amazing student work on the walls, and our amazing staff, faculty, and students. I sincerely look forward to welcoming everyone there, and sharing progress as the new campus is built, with construction scheduled to commence this Fall."
If you’re planning to enroll prior to the campus move, you will have the unique opportunity of attending both Gnomon campuses during your studies, experiencing both the history and future of Gnomon.
