Join us on Thursday, February 15th for an evening with Narwhal Studios! During this campus event, we will dive into how pre-production on films and TV shows like The Mandalorian are using real-time engines and virtual production workflows to improve the creative process.
This presentation will be led by Felix Jorge, CEO and Creative Director at Narwhal Studios, as he draws from his extensive background as a previs artist, VP Supervisor and company owner working on some of the most prolific IPs: The Star Wars Universe, Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender, Black Adam and more.
We’ll also hear from Safari Sosebee, Studio Art Director and Co-Founder at Narwhal Studios and Mark Austin, Visualization Supervisor at Narwhal Studios. Together, they’ll share insights into how virtual production drives innovation and efficiency on projects, how it shortens production schedules, and what opportunities it offers to artists. Attendees will also get to see visuals and reels from Narwhal’s work on The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and more.

Felix Jorge
Creative Director and CEO at Narwhal Studios
Felix's journey in the entertainment industry began alongside filmmakers, laying the foundation for his unwavering dedication to storytelling across Visualization, Virtual Production, and VFX realms. With a career rooted in direct involvement within the art department of film and TV productions, Felix has cultivated a unique perspective on aiding the creative process in pre-production while leveraging cutting-edge technology for enhanced efficiency. His expertise spans Set Design, Virtual Production (VP), and Visualization, honed through years of hands-on experience as a digital artist. Beginning as a previs environment artist, also known as VAD Set Designers, Felix worked directly within the art department, contributing to numerous successful productions. Felix's notable achievements include supervising acclaimed projects such as The Jungle Book, The Mandalorian, Black Adam, and serving as the VP Supervisor for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Driven by his passion to empower creatives in storytelling, Felix envisions virtual production as a pivotal tool for efficient narrative expression. He has furthered this vision by establishing a company with an artist-centric ethos. Within this company, Felix focuses on building teams and providing specialized training, drawing talent from gaming industries for interactivity, VFX for fidelity, and production for streamlined processes. Through this approach, Felix continues to push the boundaries of storytelling in the ever-evolving landscape of entertainment.

Safari Sosebee
Studio Art Director at Narwhal Studios
Safari Sosebee brings over a decade of expertise in digital lighting, sculpting, and art direction to Narwhal Studios, making him a pivotal asset to the industry. With a strong foundation in VFX, Safari excels at transforming visions into photorealistic masterpieces. His specialization lies in managing large teams on high-profile projects such as “Avatar the Last Airbender,” "The Mandalorian" and "Ahsoka," where he directly collaborates with filmmakers to ensure seamless execution and unparalleled visual quality. Safari's passion for pushing the boundaries of digital artistry and his proven track record of delivering exceptional results make him an invaluable contributor to Narwhal Studios' success.

Mark Austin
Previsualization Supervisor at Narwhal Studios
Mark Anthony Austin, commenced his animation journey in 1989 at Wyatt Cattaneo Animation
Studio, making a mark overseeing campaigns for prominent European brands like Tetley Tea
Bags and Ribena. His experience led him to LucasFilm’s Industrial Light and Magic in 1994, where he contributed to groundbreaking films such as Steven Spielberg’s Casper and the iconic Star Wars - A New Hope Special Edition.
He then went to work for Walt Disney Feature Animation in Los Angeles for 13 years, imprinting his creativity on projects including Dinosaur, Treasure Planet, and Chicken Little. In 2009, Mark's career trajectory reached new heights as he assumed the pivotal role of Head of Animation at The Third Floor Inc., collaborating with industry leads like Steven Spielberg and Sam Raimi on visionary pre-visualization projects for blockbusters such as Warhorse, Oz the Great and Powerful, and The Avengers.
Mark's legacy of innovation and artistry continue to flourish in freelance capacities, contributing
his talents to renowned studios on projects ranging from Goosebumps to Final Fantasy XIV
commercials, solidifying his status as a driving force in the animation industry.
