Join us on Monday, March 6th as we get an inside look into the making of The Peripheral!
We are excited to welcome VFX Supervisors Mark Spatny and Jay Worth to the Gnomon Stage as they break down the effects for season 1 of Amazon's newest science fiction hit The Peripheral, an eight-episode cyberpunk time travel adventure from the producers of Westworld. Our guests will share the creative design process, the challenges of filming in two countries during a pandemic, and the innovative technologies deployed for traditional VFX, virtual production, and CG character animation.
During this presentation, Mark and Jay will discuss designing the look of future London, shooting on a LED volume, volumetric video capture, the use of AI tools, and how the unique robot servants were designed and animated. They will also cover the logistics of producing 2,500 shots with a VFX team working in a hybrid/WFH environment.
If you're a sci-fi fan or interested in VFX workflow, you won't want to miss this behind-the-scenes overview of The Peripheral. Be sure to RSVP to reserve a seat inside the stage and stick around for an audience Q&A at the end of the presentation.
Free parking will be available with validation.
If you can't make it in person, we will be live streaming on the Gnomon Twitch and YouTube channels.
Events with closed captioning are available via Gnomon's Facebook Page.
