Join us on Thursday, February 16th at the Lenovo Stage on Gnomon's campus for an evening of animated shorts!
We are thrilled to host a presentation of the 22nd Annual “Animation Show of Shows” with founder and curator Ron Diamond. The Animation Show of Shows features a highly selective, “best of the best” program of new and innovative animated short films from around the world.
During this on-campus event, attendees will hear from producer Ron Diamond before watching a line-up of 10 incredible short films, featuring animation techniques that include stop-motion, hand-drawn, and 3D computer graphics. The program will culminate with a restored 4K digital remaster by the Academy Film Archive of Frederic Back's classic 1987 Oscar-winner, The Man Who Planted Trees.
Be sure to stick around after the films for a Q&A segment with our guests and browse some original production art from the featured films, which will be displayed on the stage.

Producer, Founder of the Animation Show of Shows
Ron Diamond is an American Film Producer from Los Angeles, CA. He is the founder of Acme Filmworks, the Animation Show of Shows, and the co-founder of Animation World Network. Diamond has lectured at animation schools, and served as a juror and a guest speaker at film festivals. He has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Shorts Films, and Feature Animation branch since 2002, and is a collaborator with the LA Opera creative team. Diamond has contributed to the restoration and preservation efforts of films that are in the permanent collections of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy Film Archive, UCLA Film and Television Archive, and Library of Congress.
