Join us for an event with War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death (through the eyes of Keos Masons Co-founder Marco Plouffe)! Marco will share his recent collection piece, The Four Horsemen, and give an exciting presentation on how the harbingers of the Neo Apocalypse came to life.
Our host, Gnomon Chief Creative Officer Josh Herman, will talk with Marco as he breaks down his process for designing series characters through blocking, sculpting, and posing models in ZBrush. He will also share some of his other artwork and sketches, and give viewers an inside look into his workflow and vision.
As a character artist, Marco worked for several major studios before co-founding his own outsourcing company that provides character modeling and concept design services for the video game, movie, and collectible industries. Along with his co-founder Cédric Séaut, and a team of skilled artists, they have worked on groundbreaking games including Overwatch, Fortnite, Paragon, and Baldur's Gate 3. During this Livestream, Marco will share his journey as an artist and answer any questions viewers have about design, sculpting, getting started, or owning your own company.

Marco worked as a Character Artist for THQ, Bioware, Eidos and freelanced for many other major studios. Now he has his own company with Cédric Séaut called “Keos Masons” where they tackle outsourcing needs for clients and also work on their own versatile projects.
Josh Herman
Gnomon Chief Creative Officer
Josh comes to Gnomon with a decade of experience in film, television, and games. As an alumnus of Gnomon’s Certificate in Digital Production Program he has worked as a Creative Director, Art Director, and Character Designer for prestigious studios such as Marvel Studios, Naughty Dog, Legacy Effects and Cloud Imperium Games. Josh loves to “pay it forward” by teaching classes and workshops where he can help continue the education of others so they can find their passions like he did, at Gnomon. Josh is a graduate of Westwood College and has a Bachelor of Science in Animation.
Josh continues to work on personal projects exploring ideas for films, graphic novels, and tabletop games. Some of his professional projects include The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok, Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, and Star Citizen.
