Overview

This course is specifically designed for students wishing to learn the techniques, tools, and methodologies necessary to achieve the highest quality, industry standard, techniques for finishing and detailing work on their existing sculptures. Learn advanced techniques for hyper-realistic effects. Pores, wrinkles, textures, scales, veins, fabrics, hard-surface, and other organic surfaces. Learn how to use advanced workflows to create production quality finishes on your character or concept sculptures. Learn essential industry techniques to detailing using specialized custom advanced tools and how to make them. Learn how to think out of the box and problem-solving to create your own custom textures or tools to suit your specific needs. Create proprietary tools for specific textures. Lectures and demonstrations support and inform the overall process of completing a sculptures details to the high-quality, industry standard finish. Students are expected to cover the cost of supplies, estimated between $100 to $150.

Gnomon students: Character Sculpture 2; Non-Gnomon students must submit multiple images of a "detail-ready" sculpture for instructor review before enrolling in the class.
